Terms of Service
These terms explain what Joveki does, what we ask of you, and what happens to money sent through the service.

About Joveki
Joveki is a website that helps people send cash gifts for life's celebrations — birthdays, weddings, graduations, new babies and similar occasions. Each person who signs up gets one permanent Joveki Profile with its own private link. People can open that Joveki Profile and send a cash gift by card, without creating an account.
Joveki is a gifting service. It is not a bank, and it does not offer savings, credit, investment or money-transmission services beyond passing a gift from a sender to the person it was meant for.
By using Joveki you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Who can use Joveki
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Joveki account. You may use Joveki only if you are at least 18, legally able to enter into this agreement, and legally able to use the payment card you pay with. You must give accurate information about yourself, and you may not use someone else's identity, card or bank details.
Each person may hold one Joveki Profile. Joveki Profile links are not transferable, and a link that has been given up is retired permanently rather than reissued to someone else.
Sending a gift
When you send a gift you choose the amount, decide whether to include a message, and pay by card on a secure checkout page hosted by our payments partner, Stripe. Single gifts can be between $1 and $2,000. Larger gifts ask you to confirm the amount before you pay, and the largest gifts are reviewed before the money becomes available to the person receiving it.
Gifts are sent in US dollars. A gift is a voluntary transfer to the person whose Joveki Profile you are on — it is not a purchase, a deposit, an investment, or a payment for goods or services, and Joveki does not promise you anything in return for it.
Fees
Sending a gift costs a card processing fee charged by Stripe, plus a Joveki fee. Processing fees are set by Stripe and may change over time; the exact processing fee and Joveki fee that apply to your gift are always shown on the checkout page before you pay. At checkout you choose who pays: you can cover the fees so the person receiving the gift gets the full amount you typed, or have the fees come out of the gift so your card is charged exactly the amount you typed. The checkout page shows both figures before you pay.
Joveki does not charge you to receive a gift or to request a standard cash-out to your bank. If you choose a faster payout option offered by Stripe, Stripe may charge a fee for that option. If our fees change, the checkout page will always show the fees that apply to your gift before you pay.
Receiving gifts and cashing out
Gifts you receive appear in your Joveki balance. Before money can be sent to your bank you need to complete identity and bank details with Stripe, which handles that information directly — Joveki never stores your bank account or card numbers.
A gift becomes eligible for cash-out once our payment processor has made those funds available and our own safety checks are complete. Joveki does not add a fixed waiting period of its own. Larger gifts may be reviewed before release. Cash-out is paused while a sender's bank has an open dispute on a gift you received, and reopens once that dispute is settled. After a cash-out is sent, the time for funds to reach your bank depends on our payment processor and your bank.
Refunds, disputes and reversals
Completed gifts are not automatically reversible, and there is no self-service cancellation once a payment has gone through. Our refunds and cancellations page explains exactly what happens for incomplete payments, completed gifts, refunds and card disputes.
What you may not do
You may not use Joveki to:
- collect money by pretending to be someone else, or for a celebration that is not real;
- sell goods or services, take deposits, run a raffle or lottery, or raise funds under false pretences;
- launder money, move the proceeds of crime, or evade sanctions or tax obligations;
- send abusive, harassing, hateful, sexual or threatening messages, or messages that expose someone's private information;
- post content you do not have the right to use, including other people's photos;
- use another person's card or bank details, or attempt any kind of card testing or payment fraud;
- scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the service or attempt to bypass its limits or security.
Public messages and Joveki Profile details are moderated. We may hide a message, pause a Joveki Profile, suspend an account, hold money for review, or refuse a gift where we believe these rules have been broken or money is at risk.
Your account and security
You are responsible for your sign-in details and for anything done with your account. Keep your password to yourself, use an email address you control, and tell us straight away at support@joveki.com if you think someone else has access. You can review your sign-in activity and sign out other devices from your account settings.
Your Joveki Profile is found only through the private Joveki link you choose to share. Joveki does not publish a browsable listing of profiles.
Service availability
We aim to keep Joveki running and accurate, but we provide it as it is. Parts of the service depend on others — card payments and bank transfers depend on Stripe, and emails on our delivery provider — so we cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may change, pause or withdraw features, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.
To the extent the law allows, Joveki is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Closing an account
You can ask us to close your Joveki Profile at any time. Any balance still owed to you needs to be cashed out before closing, and we may need to keep records of past gifts for accounting, legal and fraud-prevention reasons. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or creates a risk to other people's money.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Joveki grows. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and continuing to use Joveki after a change means the updated terms apply.
